When booking, we’ll ask parents/carers to provide:
Permission to take part in the outdoor activity in York
Permission to leave SPACE CIC independently at 5pm, where appropriate, or details of who will be collecting them
Emergency contact details and consent for us to seek emergency medical assistance if needed
Any medical, access or support information we need to know
Photos and filming
We may take photographs or short videos during the Bolshee Young Apprentice day to document and share the project.
Photography and filming consent will be requested separately when booking. Saying no will not affect your young person’s participation.

Are you 14-17yrs and want to learn more about the creative industries whilst having a really good time?!
Join us for Bolshee Young Creatives Halloween special, a one off dynamic day of creativity and fun in a real life industry environment. Think apprentice meets taskmaster meets the talented young people of York!
Spend the day with Bolshee CIC and friends. You will work in teams over one day, to work on a real life creative task. You will be given a budget to imagine, design, create and pitch your spooky idea and become a Bolshee Young Apprentice for the day!!
No experience or wheely suitcase needed and Just bring your curiosity and imagination.
We cannot wait to welcome you to the Board room! Executive breakfast will be provided!

Who are Bolshee?
Bolshee CIC is a York-based not-for-profit creative projects company. We create and support creative activity that brings people together and does good in York.
The Bolshee Young Apprentice will be led by experienced Bolshee practitioners. Everyone working with young people has an enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training.

SPACE is a co-working and community space for people and businesses working across the creative, cultural, digital and community sectors.
We’re excited to be partnering with SPACE to give young people a glimpse into a real creative working environment, with visits from creative professionals throughout the day.
Access: SPACE is accessed via two flights of stairs, with toilet facilities on the first floor of the Brew York building.

Workshops for schools and community groups
Bolshee offer a range of creative workshops to schools and community groups.
Each workshop is led by two highly experienced practitioners who hold enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding training. We have an inclusive practice and can adapt each workshop to different abilities, ages and needs. We are also happy to discuss creating a bespoke project for your children and young people.

Bolshee Young Creatives in a fun, energetic creative workshop celebrating all art forms. We will use drama, movement, drawing and writing to explore what young people want to say and how they want to say it.

Bolshee Moves is an empowering dance workshop where every BODY can express themselves through movement and music.

Be Bolshee
Be Bolshee is a session specifically for girls and young women exploring their place in the world. In this session we will use drama and discussion to empower, give voice and encourage self-expression around issues such as gender inequality, wellbeing and safety.
